2026 TPCA Award Nominations
TPCA invites you to help recognize exceptional leadership and service by submitting an award nomination through the link below. Each nomination should include a brief narrative explaining why the nominee merits this recognition. Supporting materials—such as newspaper articles, letters of recommendation, or other relevant documentation—may be uploaded through the online nomination form to strengthen your submission.
Innovation Award
This award recognizes TPCA members who demonstrate forward-thinking leadership by developing and implementing innovative programs within their department and/or community. These initiatives reflect creative problem-solving and a willingness to move beyond traditional approaches, resulting in meaningful impact and positive recognition for both the individual and their agency.
Mike Gentry Executive Leadership Award
This award honors a TPCA member who has demonstrated outstanding leadership within the law enforcement profession. It recognizes a chief whose leadership—whether within their community or through broader service—has made a meaningful impact and brought positive recognition to both the individual and their agency.
Barbara Childress Trailblazer Award
This award honors a female police executive who has demonstrated extraordinary leadership, innovation, and influence while serving at the executive level of a law enforcement organization. It recognizes a woman whose career reflects significant contributions to her agency, the law enforcement profession, and the community. The nominee exemplifies courage, professionalism, and a strong commitment to mutual respect, serving as a powerful role model for current and future leaders.
Awardees will be recognized at our 2026 annual conference in Corpus Christi.
